Why teach?

Impact Our Community

Teaching gives you an opportunity to positively impact our community. The public schools in the Greater New Orleans area need new teachers to promote student achievement and create systemic change. Teach Greater New Orleans focuses on recruiting, training, and supporting outstanding individuals who have little or no previous teaching experience or educational coursework.

We are looking for talented people to teach in classrooms in Orleans, Jefferson, and other surrounding parishes. The students served in these districts come from primarily under-resourced communities -- the communities that have the highest need for enthusiastic and effective teachers.

Your dedication and accomplishments can help Greater New Orleans area students succeed.

Lead our community.
