Important Information about the Online Application

The online application must be completed in one session and then submitted. Due to changes in web design, we can not save your incomplete application for you. To successfully complete your application in one setting you should:

  1. Before you begin, open the application and read what you will need to complete it. Secure all necessary documentation: references, addresses, college graduation dates, awards and honors before you start filling out the application.
  2. Before you begin, update your resume, so that you can cut and paste the latest version in the necessary space.
  3. You will be required to write a 500-1,000 word personal statement. Before you begin filling out the application, take your time to write this in word and save it in your files. Your essay addresses why you want to become a teacher in a high needs school. We also want to know how you will use your previous experiences to ensure high academic achievement for your students in a high needs school? We use this personal statement to gain a better understanding of your critical thinking skills and to gain a sense of your commitment to teaching students in the public schools of Greater New Orleans. Personal statements should be typed, 500-1,000 words in length and grammatically correct.
  4. Save your entire application in your files should you have problems with submission.

Submit your online application now. (CLOSED UNTIL 9/1/08)
